This painting is named after a very ancient prayer “Ave Maria Estrella” or “Our Lady Star of the Sea.” I was inspired to create this piece after I met my wife and found out that her name bears the same meaning.
Heaven’s Mirth is inspired by the idea that in Heaven there is only joy and the worship of God who is love. Although very abstract at first glance, this painting contains depths in which we can use our imagination to meditate on Heaven.
